Shajar Al-Durr the female slave Mamluke it's believe she had Bedouin origins instead of Turkish or Armenian who defeated and imprisoned the French king Crusader, knowing martial arts, horse riding, and was of dark complexion with raven black hair and dark eyes, which sets her apart from the other Mamlukes who were blond and blue eyed for the most part. I just loved how she imprisoned the invader king and clearly showed him who is boss, and thus clearly had an Arabian and Bedouin spirit rather than anything outside and her physical look does show her origins. After all she was captured from the Syrian desert near Iraq before being sold as slave into Egypt!
