basically the chinese are observing how US honors its defense treaty across the globe..

they are becoming confident now because USA doesnt honor its allies(no name) in syria .

once they are confident enough that USA will not support taiwan, that when they invade taiwan.

The Chinese Communist Party is not THAT suicidal. It would mean a shit load of American nukes raining down on China and they know it. And we're not even talking about the economic consequences that would render the interior legitimacy of the CCP moot.

"We do not promise to renounce the use of force and reserve the option to use all necessary measures" to achieve this goal and prevent Taiwan independence, he added.

This, though, was aimed at foreign forces who seek to interfere and the tiny minority of Taiwan independence forces and their activities, Xi said without elaborating in what was likely a reference to the United States, Taiwan's strongest backer.

China is not going to attack Taiwan any time soon but Xi warned against America's interference with Taiwan's reunification. Xi is worried that Trump will do something drastic to frustrate China's peaceful reunification efforts (i.e. the Trump–Tsai call) and he warned that China will use force to stop foreign military intervention. Trump broke America's long-held tradition to avoid recognizing Taiwan as a country and he even called Tsai Ing-wen the President of Taiwan, which angered Beijing. To achieve Taiwan's reunification, a national referendum would be held. According the most recent poll taken in Taiwan, 20.1% of the public favors unification, 24.1% is satisfied with the current situation, 38.3% favors independence, and the remaining 17.5% has no opinion.

The Trump–Tsai call was a telephone conversation between the U.S President-elect Donald Trump and the President of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan) Tsai Ing-wen which took place on December 2, 2016. This event marked the first time since 1979 that a U.S. President or President-elect had directly spoken with a ROC President. In the call, Tsai congratulated Trump for his victory in the presidential election. The two leaders spoke for around 10 minutes, focusing on politics, economy, and security in Asia-Pacific. Following the call, Trump publicized this on Twitter and Facebook and said thank you to "the President of Taiwan". After Trump's transition team confirmed the event, the Presidential Office of Taiwan released a statement about the content of the call.
