Reincarnation

How many of you here believe in reincarnation? i am convinced in life after death,but not reincarnation...read a bit about Swedenborg and he was quite good ,everything he explains about the afterlife fits with islam...he is popular within the spiritualist society,but he was a christian and he denies reincarnation(spiritualists believe it)

I have my doubts. Although Hans Eysenck looked into serious attempts made by others and he was impressed by the evidence presented (that's not to say he was convinced but was curious) It's not hard evidence but it's interesting and Eysenck was highly respected. He was not the type to buy into bullshit. If anything he revealed bullshit to the light of day. He was no fool.

A so called psychic once told me in a previous life I was a military officer. I had an obsession with everything military since I was a toddler that whined down as I got into my teens but is still an interest. I was very obsessive about it as a kid to the point where that was what I was known for in school.

In my honest opinion I don't believe in reincarnation. This is my reason: According to reincarnation, a soul leave a dead body and enters into a new one. If this is the case, I would imagine that the reincarnation will have acquired the traits and personality of the previous beholder. If this was the case then nobody would take after their parents because they would take after whoever they was before. But in reality this isn't true because offspring do inherit the traits of their parents. I might be wrong though.

So, if reincarnation exists, does that mean that a woman and a man, who both come from unrelated families, who fall in love with one another could have been siblings in a past life?!

Exactly my thoughts,if the point of reincarnatios is to become better ,to develop then those traits should remain same...if not,then what is the point? i believe reincarnation is wishful thinking by some,those who love this life very much
