Nothing strange here, horses for example originate in North America too, but later they disappeared here after the finish of the last Ice Age, and ironically was introduced back to Americas by Spanish conquistadors 500 years ago.

They originally came from America millions of years ago. The last North American Camel died around 10,000 years ago, most likely hunted by the ancestors of modern day Amerindians. It's pretty interesting to know also that the old world Camels closest cousins or relatives are the Southern Camelids like Alpacas and Llamas.

Fascinating I had no idea. They spread out when, as the theory or fact suggests, when continents were still attached or sea levels much lower?

When North-East Asia was connected to North America a few million years ago. The last camel of North America was founded near Walmart, lol. No joke.

Not just in terms of animals but geography as well. There are huge lakes in areas that are now desert from warm periods.

Eh, I don't think there had been Caucasoid in the Americas before Columbus..and yes, I am aware that the Vikings did sail to North America but they never permanently settled there.

Yeah I know I was just being sarcastic. White muricans love to spread the false theory that they were here first
