About "exotic" White Americans

I've been thinking as of lately: are the likes of George Clooney, Johnny Depp (ok, he claims to be 1/16 Amerind - but so do loads of Whites just for the sake of "coolness"), the Kardashians, to name a few, thought of by other Americans as "White"? I guess I've never seen the Kardashians acting (nor do I think they have the brains for it), but the first two are virtually always cast as regular Whites in most movies, even when they strike me (I might be wrong though) as far too "exotic" for WASPs, though they are in fact of Northern Euro extraction as far as the story tells.

In contrast, Andy Garcia, though of Iberian ancestry, seems to me a lot closer to a WASP, the only indication of his non-WASP status being his last name I guess (does he have an accent?), and yet, he gets loads of times cast in ethnic roles.

George Clooney even if he doesnt look the typical Irish he looks European. The Kardashians are half Armenians.
And Johnny Depp has actually SSA ancestry, but distant and he could be even French.
He looks white, nothing exotic about him;

Im trying to figure out what is exotic about George Clooney, does he looks mixed to you? Any decent person would even mistake him for Greek or Iberian. He is white!

Of course he is White, no denying it. But to me, he's definitely very Southern European looking. Yet, his characters are mostly (at least presumably) WASP-ish, Northern Euro, and Americans seem to make a distinction between WASPs and the so-called "ethnic Whites". Same would apply I guess to Johnny Depp (didn't know he was part SSA though).

Because he is WASP-ish. It doesnt matter if he looks Southern European, a lot of Irish people do it. Its called " Dark Irish" or "Black Irish". Johnny claims native american ancestry but it is another claimed by another white american, he is actually and DOCUMENTED part Black.

Johnny is descended from a woman, Martha, who born in 1612, and who was of African descent. Martha had a daughter, Elizabeth Key (also an ancestor of Johnny). Elizabeth’s father, William Grinstead, was caucasian, of English descent. Elizabeth was the first woman of African ancestry to successfully take legal action to free herself from slavery. This happened in 1656. Johnny is descended from Martha twice (on one family tree, she is both one of his eight times great-grandmothers, and one of his nine times great-grandmothers). That would mean that Johnny is of 3/2048 African ancestry.

I bet you would feel ok if his characters were Greeks or something, but I wouldnt feel ok because he is NOT GREEK
