    All of them sound more similar to European Portuguese rather than Brazilian Portuguese, which is clearly the outlier in my opinion.

    In Africa the most distinctive one is the accent from Angola, followed by the Cape-Verdean. I usually can identify someone's background just by hearing it. Mozambican, Bissau-Guinean and Santomean sound pretty similar to me.

    The East Timorese accent was probably the worse and I am inclined to believe that they are not native speakers of Portuguese unlike all the other journalists.

    The Macanese accent was by far the most similar one to European Portuguese.

    I felt East Timor and Guinea Bissau accents the closest to the brazilian one, but still far, I even think East Timor sounds a bit hispanic.

    Since journalists speak in a neutral way maybe it is not representative to their respective countries as well
