They are very proud, but they hide it officially. They trying to present themselves as secular to keep support of western centers of power.
On every Albanian wedding in Kosovo is heard "Allahu Akbar", I know from the first hand.
People which think that Albanians don't care for Islam are very naive. Albanian identification with Islam is older and longer than their nationalism.
