Immigration to a country should benefit the country, not cause division. The most commonsense approach to this would be to only allow immigration of peoples that are similar to the majority population of a country (in terms of ethnicity, language, culture and religion) to ensure that they assimilate smoothly into the host country.

That being said, what the West really ought to do is get over its addiction to immigration to begin with. Millions of people move to the West every year and even culturally similar groups might take resources from the host population. It isn't beneficial for the host population.

The way this is happening isn't natural and it is the result of public policy. It isn't just some natural force that we all have to get used to.

There’s less Muslims in USA percentage wise. For example, 1% of USA population is Muslim, whilst 5% of UK is. Is that enough to “show their true colours” or might there be another variable in play?

The percentages don't mean much TBH. It's more to do with the fact that the UK is one of the most dense countries in Europe (and the world) and hence 5% of the population being Muslim means they all live very close to one another. Hence they build enclaves and refuse to integrate, giving rise to extremism issues and whatnot. America has 1.5% Muslim population and they are very spread out throughout the country, there are no true "Muslim enclaves" like there are in Europe.
