The US needs work but I don’t understand wanting to move anywhere else than Europe from there. Never understood wanting to move somewhere exotic and unfamiliar.

This country is headed for eventual collapse. It is huge nation and things are happening at different rates in different places, but it can't go on forever. It is the epicenter of global social experimentation and societal ruin.

I love it and my family has been here for centuries, but there are days when I think it is hopeless.

You can criticize places like China for many things like their human rights abuses and authoritarian regime but they look ahead. You can easily imagine that in century from now, China will still be a homeland for Chinese people. In the US, our future is uncertain.
