    Yes, of course I feel "alluded" to, given previous exchanges. The difference is this, you see, and I hope that even you can appreciate it: the English have assimilated Celts. The Spaniards have assimilated Moors. Can you spot the difference?

    The modern Spanish ethnogenesis came about as a result of the gradual reconquest and assimilation of the Moors. So to say Spaniards "started out as Celts" is even less meaningful than to say the English did.

    lol, the moors were expelled in the reconquista, not assimilated.
