Default Traditionalism as The Enemy of Nihilism

Often I feel as if libertarians have neglected questions of meaning, value and greater axiology. Of all the libertarian literature, almost none of it makes any effort to construct a positive good, a true, intimate and complete understanding of virtue. So today, I thought I would explore some more questions about nihilism as a follow up to my last video with James from ‘The Rational Rise’, particular looking at Julius Evola and his conception of traditional living, his criticisms of modernity and also The Stoic and Aristotelian axiology.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

For non-religious people, any other philosophical position than nihilism is rather naive, although only in the ultimate sense. In practice, obviously, I don’t have to believe that the values, which are important to me are somehow woven in the very fabric of spacetime (nihilism, in the most general sense, is in fact nothing more than rejection of such claims) to be a total zealot about them.
