I didn't watch the video because Tim Pool bores the crap out of me, but I agree that European should be used in place of it. Most everyone gets what "white" means though.

Depends on your definition of racism and "white". Being aware and conscious about your own racial identity is alright to me and it have nothing to do with hatred or discrimination.
