In Chile, people with a mere 15% SSA are considered Afro-Chilean.

So, Chile Raptor's perception on the Blackness of Colombia and Venezuela sorta makes sense from a Chilean sense even though it's exaggerated from a general Latin American sense.

It doesn't help either that Colombian migrants in Chile are generally Afro-descendants.

More than half of Colombia's population has less than 5% SSA ancestry on average so Inca Raptor's perception is not really THAT accurate. Besides, black people are not a rarity in Chile nowadays given as it has taken in a lot of Haitian refugees and Colombians from Buenaventura.

As alnorte himself has said several times, when it comes to the difference in Black input in both Colombia and Venezuela, what differs is not so much the average itself but the distribution of it. Colombia has a lot more Blacks, Mulattoes and darker Triracials, while the majority of the country's population as you say have little if any Black admixture at all. In contrast, Venezuela has a more dispersed and relatively constant degree of Black admixture among its people - nevertheless, in only a minority of cases does it exceed 15-20% of an individual's admixture.

N.B. Am I mixing up threads here?

SSA admixture is slightly higher too but you are right in saying that Colombia's black input is more segregated whereas Venezuela's is more evenly distributed.

That's why I bumped this thread, a while ago they posted estimates on people over 15% SSA for each country. More than half of Colombia's population was less than 5% SSA.

If the Afro contribution to the Colombian population were that low, Colombian women would not be stereotyped as hot and curvy. I don't know why you worry so much about it, you act like the african mixture is a ''bad thing" or something.

Nice titts and booty due to only SSA Is nothing but a big stereotyped, diluted amerindian can give those nice body on women as a matter of fact that Mexican regions that are as European as Colombia like Northern and West Central, women there also have good bodies , Sinaloa a Northern mexican state known as cartel women are naturally beautiful with good breast and ass .

Because deep down most Latinos here on the forum do indeed look down and/or consider having it a bad thing. You saw my interactions with Norgay and how much I hated his guts, but I have to give it to him, he was brutally honest and unapologetic about his hatred of black and black admixed people, his only flaw being that he couldn't stop harping and nagging about it like a Tourettes syndrome suffering person. But as far as I am concerned, it is better to deal with an open enemy than a false friend. With the former at the very least you know where you are standing on, with the latter, not so much. On that score, B10AB20 is very much on point, some among the latinaje here do indeed make CV look like an exemplary boy scout, and an intensely funny one at that to boot.

Not quite. Sofia Vergara is a classic Colombian Euro-leaning Mestiza and she's often portrayed as the typical hot Colombiana here in the U.S. even though I'm personally indifferent towards her.

To be fair, I also think this is matter of this section being part of a Eurocentric based anthropology forum. Not many people are going to want to embrace Blackness or SSA admixture in a European-based website. ABF had more Mestizos and Criollos who were indifferent towards SSA mixture because it wasn't really a race realist forum as much as it was a purely anthropology/genetics based forum.

Even Norway said himself that he called himself that because he thought you had to be White to get an account here. Hell, I thought Black posters weren't allowed to post here when I first joined after I forgot my ABF login and that whole forum crashed and burned.

I do think SSA is generally looked down upon in Latin America but it's more nuanced than people think. I think class and culture, overall, matter more in actual LA countries whereas U.S. based Hispanics tend to be considerably more race focused due to the nature of things here.

I've traveled to 3 Latin American countries myself(even posted some pics of me at a Cuban bar on here) and one of my uncles successfully retired with his wife to Costa Rica from Texas. And he tells me all the time how Costa Rica is "less racist" than the USA. Go figure.
