    Yeah it's quite interesting how Hellenic and Indian civilization intermingled with each other in that area. Many of the Greeks became Buddhist but yet kept their religious pantheon. It would be interesting to see if some communities in South-Central Asia have some Greek ancestry. It's believed that the Kalash did, but it seems to be based on myth.

    Some definitely do have Greek ancestry, but western genetic studies are biased and try really hard to hide it by testing communities that dont claim Greek ancestry as opposed to the actual communities that do, and then make generalizations about the entire region.

    No, they don't have Greek ancestry. Greeks were a small minority in those regions and never managed to remain pure after 2 or 3 centuries. Ancestry from a minority group from 2300 years ago will not be significant in anyone's DNA.
