Pride is bad in general. Humility is preferable. We can and should have reverence for ethnic/ancestral origins, but we should also celebrate ethnicities and ancestries besides our own. Essentially, love one another just as God created us.

I do value my American citizenship and would consider myself a patriotic American. For me, that's a matter of loving my neighbors, whether they happen to be Americans or foreign nationals. And it makes sense that this should extend to non-citizens, because America is not just a nationality but an idea. It's also a matter of showing appreciation for those who have sacrificed and died to serve this country (i.e., all of us, as Americans).

Nothing wrong about being proud about your race/ethnicity, depending on your definition of what's "proud". However you should be proud of yourself first, proud of your accomplishments and conquests in the life because being white or black, don't make you special. You didn't choose to born with white skin or certain phenotype, and i think you shouldn't use it to justify how "good" you are if compared to others, or taking merit of what other people of your race/ethnicity did.
