In other words, it’s bad enough we have to be looted, spied on, and kicked around by the state. Should we also have to pay for the privilege of cultural destructionism, an outcome the vast majority of the state’s taxpaying subjects do not want and would actively prevent if they lived in a free society and were allowed to do so?

The very cultures that the incoming migrants are said to enrich us with could not have developed had they been constantly bombarded with waves of immigration by peoples of radically different cultures. So the multicultural argument doesn’t even make sense.

It is impossible to believe that the U.S. or Europe will be a freer place after several more decades of uninterrupted mass immigration. Given the immigration patterns that the US and EU governments encourage, the long-term result will be to make the constituencies for continued government growth so large as to be practically unstoppable. Open-borders will scratch their heads and claim not to understand why their promotion of free markets is having so little success. Everybody else will know the answer.

Immigration wouldn't be an issue if there was no welfare state. Naturally people will head for nations where you get free stuff. It's not rocket science. The choice betwen working in a mine in SSA for 12 hours a day or more for the equivalent of a few dollars or having all your needs met isn't a difficult choice. If you have the nerve to risk your life (and in a woman's case also rape), you can get rewarded with government welfare.

It's an incentive and people react to incentives.

I am so happy that the Austrian government has closed the borders. The European Union is carrying out atrocities with this hypocritical love of self-hatred.
Denying one's own values, but praising the "cultural differences" of Muslim immigrants. Once a woman is beaten, one has to pay attention to the "circumstances".

Are you saying we should do away with social security? Realistically, that wouldn't work either. We should cut welfare spending and also spending on things we DON'T need such as Planned Parenthood, PBS, and NPR.
