How can progressive be allied with Islam, the most repressive ideology on Earth. There is no freedom of speech or freedom of conscience in Islam. Yet progressives defend Islam because they see Islam is a world religion and therefore assume that it automatically deserves respect, without taking care to understand Islam. This just puzzles me.
