To say 'by far' is surely an exaggeration. Like I said in the OP, keep in mind that Latin America as a whole has at least 150 million more people than North America + Oceania do, and while most of them aren't White, a considerable minority (in some countries and regions a majority) are. What's more, even if we were to include South Africa, only 15-20% of their population is White, and they are primarily of Afrikaner rather than British descent.

I always assumed he was Spanish (he looks like one, talks like one, etc etc). Then I asked him and he told me his parents are Spanish who went to Venezuela... ie he is 100% Spanish by blood.

Oh yeah, those cases are not rare. Apart of the hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans born and grown in Venezuela with very recent Spanish ancestry (even if not full Spanish) as myself, there are also good numbers of cases of 100% Spanish Venezuelans, who are kids of two Spanish parents, who at certain point immigrated to Spain when they were still very young, like the guy you mention, or like Iñaki Anasagasti, and many others.

A cousin of my Spanish mom, son of a Mallorcan mom (a maternal aunt of my mom) and a Basque father was born in Venezuela, but his parents went back to Spain with him, when he was 12 years old, and he has lived in Spain for the rest of his life (he is now in his 50s). Today he speaks with a very Spanish accent and is just like any other Spaniard. That happens because Venezuela received a large Spanish diaspora, but that idiot of Deneb ignores, or pretend to ignore it.

There are also two second-cousins of my mom (kids of the Spanish born sister of the guy I mentioned above) who were born in Venezuela from their Spanish mom and a German father, and they were also taken to Spain when they were very young, and now they live in Spain since many years ago, and speak with a very Spanish accent. But their case is a bit different, since they are half Spanish (Mallorcan and Basque) and half German.
