By this, I mean a road which separates two areas where the predominant ethnic group or social class is very different between them. In my former city of Leicester, London Road effectively separates the predominantly White areas to its west from the predominantly South Asian areas to its east. Furthermore, Welford Road effectively separates the wealthier and poorer White areas from each other too. In Swansea, Cockett Road effectively separates the middle-class areas to its west from the working-class areas to its east.
