Como datos de él: Tenía el mentón fuerte y barbilla partida (Como tipo CM) medía 1.75 mts. su color de cabello era castaño, piel clara (Se quemó con el sol por trabajar en el campo) y ojos oscuros; según mi familia, mi tío actualmente y mi abuelo cuando joven eran muy parecidos físicamente

Hay castizos que se ven mas castizos que Europeos, porque su mezcla Amerindia es muy obvia, y no pasarian en Europa, pero tambien hay castizos que su mezcla Amerindia no es tan obvia y si pasarian en Europea.

Creo que en tu caso, eres de esos castizos que si pasaria sin problemas en Europa.

I don't care if some people overrate or understimates the whiteness of Chile and Brazil. Discussing this is no sense. Just FACTS: according to genetic studies, Chile is a mestizo-harnizo nation. It has a sizable white minority, and another large castizo minority. I think both groups make up around 30% of the population, and most of them can pass in Europe.

The problem here is that some people take "light skin" as an indicator of whiteness (especially those from non-white countries), whereas facial traits are equally important. Chile has lots of depigmented mestizos/harnizos (I've seen a few) but with very visible Amerindian traits that can't pass in Europe.

I assure you that I am not that kind of person. If we are going to the case, the percentage of ligth skin, almost white in Chile is around 75% and the percentage that I give of people who can pass is 50%. There is a 25% of harnizos, mestizos and even some indomestizo, that no matter how "ligth" it is, it would never pass, some even in Turkey.

And regarding Brazil, it's not only the South that is white: Sao Paulo for example is white majority, and has the largest Italian population in the world outside Italy. The rest of Brazil has very sizable white populations, save for the least populated areas in the north. The country is genetically on average more European than Chile, and phenotypically has a much larger white (+80% European, +90% European and 95-100% European) population than Chile and that can pass in Europe, and even in Central and Northern Europe. And again, this is not restricted to the elite and higher class like in Chile.

Pero esos castizos que pasen sin problemas deberían ser o verse de +80 Euro y de ser así ya no serían castizos no? Serían castizos-criollos y/o castizos border criollos...
