    According to my sources and as well as my experience travelling within this region of Europe.
    This is my ranking for the top five blondest nations in North-West Europe:
    1) Norway (by far!) (much more on the golden blond side than ashen).
    2) Sweden (more on the ashen blond side than golden)
    3) Denmark (equally ash and golden blond)
    4) Iceland (more golden blond)
    5) Northern Germany (Although not nation, but this part of Germany is as blond or slightly more blond than the Friesland Province in the Netherlands)

    Within Norway, the inland parts of the South Agder region is the blondest in the world!!! It is only equalled by another place in North-East Europe, which I am not going to name due to the fact that the thread is focused on North-West Europe.

    I beg to differ. England is by far the blondest country of the British Isles! Only the northern regions of the Netherlands and also of Germany have a higher frequency of blond hair than that of England overall. We tend to associate the "strong" blondism of the northern regions of the Netherlands with their entire country, it is not so. In fact, southern regions of the Netherlands (e.g. Zeeland or Brabant) are much more similar in hair and eye colours to northern regions of Belgium (Flanders) than they would to their northern Dutch regions such as (e.g. Friesland or Groningen). Likewise in Germany, as well, central and southern parts are not more blond than England either.

    But what is blond?

    I would like to see numbers (%) of population who are real light blondes and skipping ''blondes'' or ''dirty blondes'' away (how people see those outside of Scandinavia).

    I have my own opinion on that...

    To me blond is a spectrum that goes to quite dark colours, but that's not the definition that is used in everyday life (in Scandinavia). I don't know about percentages regarding light blond hair, but I imagine the ranking would be similar.

    Personally I would prefer to deal today's blondes and brunettes 3 different groups instead of common 2.
    Plus 4. naturally gingers. Using that scale we would also get blondes basically away from most of the countries.

    Yes ... agree. Between those countries.

    Blonde hair obviously vary from the darkest blonde which very close to a light brown to the platinum-like shades. There is a spectrum, a dark blonde and a light blonde person still carry what we could call the "blond" gene. Some blond veer towards brown or red or white. The light or platinum-like blond type is most common in again in those same "very blond" nations. Though the order in my opinion changes very slightly. The most common blond colour among adults is the dark blond types. Every hair colour has a spectrum, there is no single hue, you know.

    For your sake;
    "Pure blond" hair types %:
    Norway = 27.9%
    Sweden = 23%
    Denmark and Iceland = 21%
    The Netherlands and Northern Germany = 19.5%
    The United Kingdom = 13%

    I think blonde hair is less than 8% in England due to their celtic - iberian origins
