I have 2 close friends, one of whom is my ex girlfriend.
I have a dozen or so average friends who I talk to on a monthly basis.
I have about twice that which I would consider to be acquaintances.

Very few. I’m incredibly anti-social, also find it hard to relate to anyone else. But i’m fine with this.

Depends on your definition I suppose.
Close friends, who I could trust with my life? 4.
Friends I talk to frequently and I'd feel comfortable asking for a favour? About 15ish, including the aforementioned 4.
Friends I'd just enjoy hanging out with/being around? 30-40.
Ironically that's an extremely high number for me as I'm an introvert through and through. Would happily not talk to another human being for an entire week. But I do value my friends too.

Up to you decide which definition suits the best this quality, years ago, my definition was too drastic, those incapable of sacrifice were not deemed to be called friends, results: a decade of solitude; since I toned down criterion, I gathered four men in hope they are not decevant.
