It would be sad if there was a law restricting your movements in the country you really feel affiliated to, because you decided to take a different nationality.

And no, nationality is not merely a paper symbolising your ethnic or multi-ethnic background but, before all, a paper representing your status in a given country ; it opens you a variety of services which would be otherwise restricted.
Well that's what for the ethnicity collumn is for in the birth list. I have different ethnicity than nationality actually and I've found that out only 4 years ago, LOL. And talking about the passports Germany and UAE have the strongest visa-free passports in the world. At the same time having passport from EU, has it's big pros. For example if you are abroad you can go to any EU member embassy, for example German guy can go on French embassy and ask for help if theres no German embassy nearby.

Take also into account that I am talking about futur possibilities here. All those rights could be lost, esspecially with all the problems the EU is facing (including its own existence).

Besides, I am not only talking about freedom of travel, but also freedom of stay, freedom of work, access to the social security, right to vote, etc.

We will see, I still think nothing big will happen in next 50 years. Globalisation is real, free movement is more rapant.

I can toleterate double nationality with only some few close country of the western worl and in some very specific case.
Like the guy have live a long time in the two country, is well integrate
But as it will ask a lot of money and time to check case by case. So maybe better to limit to only one "born" nationality.

    Same thing for given nationality.
I'am not against people taking french nationality if they came from another european country. Speak french. Well integrate. Don't live on social welfare.
But it must an exception and not a rule who apply to everybody...

I think that I like much what I read here.

How about an Ethnic Swede living in a park among other Ethnic French hobos (he is also in good terms with the local bartender), surviving on welfare, and is doing this seemingly for ever...but concretly, he has lived there nearly 20 years and knows well how things are going in France.

Would you consider giving this guy the French nationality (because he has still only a "titre de séjour" to buzz around) ?

Dual citizenship should be eradicated. Either stay in your own country or fully commit to the country you're entering.

It will inevitably create huge conflicts of interest in the country that allows and basically transforms the country to an economic platform that no one feels any loyalty to.

You are what you're born as and you can't have allegiance to more than one nation.

Sometimes, it is not so clear, if you get my point here.

Yes it is. It's a complete contradiction to be loyal to more than one country.
