There is no game to be player of (yet), these research missions don't bring any economic exploitations, they only bring knowledge and glory.

Real game is Artificial Intelligence, it's what will change the world in near future, like how industrial revolution changed it.

Those who do not participate in space exploration at the moment do not miss much, only the glory; but of course those who do have space missions play an important role in increasing our knowledge, keeping us interested and they will have the upper hand by being experienced when the game starts.

Artificial intelligence is based on electronics and electronics are based on minerals such as silicon-like semiconductors, or the superconductors needed for quantum computing which are abundant in Mars.

Not at all, they are a investment, small players invest meaning there is no direct income yet. The intrests and effort in space exploration that happens lately is not a coincidence. Space X is able to land their Falcon 9 undamaged, way more reliable than the space shuttles were, you know how much money will be safed by that? The Space elevator will be the next great project that will make space exploration so much cheaper and starts resource harvesting. Helium 3 which can be found on the moon is their aim.

But the private companies will rule

I'm being realistic. Governments spend billions in space exploration so it's already an industry by itself, companies like Space X build rockets which will be making profit not by mining asteroids or any other economic exploitation from space, but by selling it to space agencies who are at the moment do nothing with their billions of dollars funding but research.

Space elevation is also currently technologically unachiavable. Space hook is more likely.

Its one of the paths where we build sustainable civilization. Also, if we decide to stay on Earth we risk getting destroyed by a single event.

Space X Mars mission is completly isolated from Goverment funding, sure they use the goverment to finance themselves currently, but again even NASA funding and plans are not based on prestige or scientific advancement anymore. Virgin sees the tourism aspect of it, also isolated from goverment.

I predict that Roscosmos will play no role anymore in any important aspect of space exploration and missions.

Their only scientific mission the past years was already a huge failure.
