Russia isn't enough developed to help Macedonia, even if it is less degenerated than west. Nothing worse than having poor master. Older Hungarians would know.
Realistically speaking west can give more to Macedonia than Russia can. Look at standard of Belarus (Russian client) and compare with standard of Poland (US/EU client) and all is clear.

When Berlin wall failed they had similar standard of living.

I like Putin and Russian culture in general. But compare Cold War Hungary with today. West gave you a lot, you have to admit that. Having good relations with Russia in times like these is smart move though.

Hungary is a bridge between east and west. Today the western culture is very degenerated, Russia is more sympathetic to me.
