Everytime Corneliu is mentioned, someone has to repeat these falsehoods. Bucovina, where his father is from, was under Polish occupation. During that time many people had to Polishize their names if they wanted to participate in certain occupations. His father who you call Polish was a Romanian nationalist and Orthodox Christian, who instilled his values in Corneliu. His mother's parents were practicing Orthodox Romanian Christians as well. I mention religion because in these parts it was a better indication of ethnic origin than surname. My great grandfather himself had a Magyar name that he used in official documents.
