Brazil for sure...here in São Paulo we have so much spanish immigrants and big part of the population speak 2 languages, or english or spanish. And we can understand the spanish very well. I think you shall go to one of the big citys of Brazil.

    Agree!
Happily I speak portuguese, not well I recognize, but I can keep a conversation with portuguese speakers.
But one time in Brazil I saw that spanish spakers could talk with local people and understand them without a big difficulty.
And also in Bariloche, I saw that brazilian tourists were in a similar situation.
It wasn't difficult for them to be in contact with the local people.
Also I have the idea that for brazilians and also for portuguese people it's easier to learn spanish than to learn portuguese for spanish speakers in general.
And it's curious because it's a beautiful language.

yes, i found it easy to understand spanish. But to study and talk the actual spanish is hard. Not because the language is dificult but because is very close to portuguese.

In a way it is, yes.
And especially because when we study a language quite similar to our, it's a temptation to mix that language with many words of our native language.
And because of that resemblance many times we can't perceive that we are using wrong words.

Pero ellos entienden más español que nosotros portugués, ya que el portugués tiene una pronunciación muy distinta y nos cuesta agarrar las palabras, lo que no sucede a la inversa.
    Eso es muito cierto.

people here do not know because they are too poor to even leave their own country
it is a common thing to see Latinos who have been here for more than 30 years who still do not speak a bit of English
why? because they did not need the language to get around in America due to the importance of the Spanish language

they probably make less that 0.1% of your population, please relax LOL
a Spanish speaker will have a better chance of surviving in the USA than in Brazil because Brazil lacks linguistically diversity and lacks Hispanic communities
meaning, when I visited Brazil, I did not see one single Hispanic community in the whole country or Hispanic neighborhoods where I could be with my people
because of the lack of that, there is no way in hell you would be able to survive unless YOU start learning the language

in the USA, it is completely different due to the large amounts of Hispanic communities that exist in the nation
therefore, no need to learning English, if you ever travel to America, walk into Hispanic neighborhoods and ask the older people how long have they been in this country for
many will tell you for 20-40 years, and to your surprise, they will not be able to speak to you in English, because they can survive without it due to their neighborhood

therefore, how the fuck can Brazil even be an option?
