LOL exactly. I was just trying to explain this to someone and she got mad at me. Sure, I'm autistic by the current taxonomical standards, but autism will be obsolete as soon as humanity accepts that there are different types of humans who think in different ways.Anyone that doesn't behave exacly according to my beliefs of normality has a pathology I have hardly studied or am able to describe.
Autism is basically described as being a little odd, hence the phrase, "everyone's a little autistic". If you give the "pathology" a vague enough diagnostic criteria, you can control millions of people who relate to the description and decide that they are at whims of that condition.
We pathologize so many behaviors which are really character traits more than brain states-- like BPD. Oh, you're a total moody bitch who can't be trusted? Here's "disease that makes you lie". It's incurable, don't worry about bettering yourself! xoxo
