Superior in the sense they kept their old traditions while being in the same time at the peak of the modern day technology. Other than that, nothing peculiar and quite overrated imo. On the other hand if they had immigration, they'd been fucked up the same way Germany and Sweden are.

They may end their life for financial reasons and it might be in their culture from samurai years but still many of them suicide from loneliness because of overused technology.

A nation where people don't care about personal development in mental/character aspects can't really be called superior but a programmed society instead.
