Default Do you believe in the idea of physiognomy?

Physiognomy/phrenology is the process of assessing character based on physical features. A lot of ancient cultures used to do it and it was given a lot of attention by scholars all the way up to the 1900s. Nowadays it's considered by most a pseudo-science but scientists say that the traits power, warmth and honesty can actually be inferred by outer appearance of an individual. Comparing individuals to the appearance of specific animals is also a common theme in this subject.

I used to when I was much younger, but the number of exceptions I've seen since I started somewhat paying attention to it more is wayyyy too high for me to consider it now.

Its mostly pseudo science, but human expression and body language etc can be telling.
But I dont think physical features on their own eg facial structure etc.

The stuff discussed in 'Types of mankind' is almost like a precursor to anthropology but a successor to physiognomy
