To me, that shouldn't even be a question. Why wouldn't it be okay?
But if you ask if this is usual, then it would be different maybe? Maybe it is, maybe it ain't. But whatever, if it's your choice and you're secure about it, go on. If your boyfriend loves you, he understands it and probably accepts your choice.
I have a good friend that wanted to marry as a virgin and she remained like that until her mid 30s, she then gave up her virginity but she says she doesn't regret having lived like that for some time.
