Both the Foreign Office and State Department are government institutions and the government is controlled by the Left. People want to see how their tax pounds/dollars have been spent so governments will concoct favorable reports. I guess crime rates, corruption rates, credit ratings and travel advisories tell a better story than glowing reports.

Haiti is poor because of Haitians.

After killing off the French they successfully managed to deforest almost the entirety of their once beautiful share of the island, trashed the place, fought each other and that brings us to today’s Haiti where they are surviving off of cookies made from mud. Many people have also noted that Haitians are a very LAZY bunch who, even with the capability to work, prefer to sit idly and acomplish nothing.
