Here are a few studies on Macedonians I was able to find. Are there any more?

The big difference in blond hair is likely due to Bulgarian sample also including soldiers aged 19-25.

Personal study of Eye color I did on students on http://www.fotojasmina.com/ is the following:

Blue and Gray=93 or 20,2%
Green=27 or 5,9%
Hazel and Light Brown=35 or 7,6%
Brown=211 or 45,9%
Dark Brown=90 or 20,2%

Since the pictures are of limited quality, it is likely that "Brown" sample also includes some mixed eyes which look indistinguishable from brown.

It says Bulgarian children from Macedonia and Thrace...
So in this study probably the children from the Rhodopes are included on the Macedonian side, and the Rhodopes are the area with the biggest concentration of blue-eyed/blonde people in Bulgaria.

Yes it includes Thrace I forgot about that. You mention where bulgarians are blondest. Do you have any more studies, for Bulgaria maybe? I have two more for Bulgaria.

There is this map, but I think you've seen it. It's not well made and it isn't quite accurate:



red: med racial types
blue: north racial types
purple: pontic racial type
green: dinaricized and dinarids
circle: mongoloid features

I live very close to the Rhodopes, so I know for a fact, that people there are the lightest, but I can't find any studies on the subject.
