Well, looks like difference between Croats and Serbs in pigmentation was significant.
In Croatia-Slavonia 32% of Croats had fair hair compared to 18% of Serbs, almost double more.
47% of Panonnian Croats had light eyes compared to 30% of Panonnian Serbs.
In Dalmatia they're mostly uniformly dark haired just like I said, but lowest amount of light eyes in in mainland where again lived huge Serbian orthodox population. And than Kotor which is Montenegro.
All Croat-inhabited parts of littoral had above 40% of light eyes.
In Bosnia muslims (Bosniaks) had highest amount of fair hair and light eyes, catholics (Croats) were intermediate and orthodox (Serbs) darkest.
But interestingly catholic Croats were whitest skinned. This again corresponds with what I said about BiH.

Yes, interesting that Bosnian Muslims are the blondest. I have no idea why would that be the case, maybe the blond ones were more likely to convert for some reason. Regarding Catholics being lightest skinned; that makes sense since according to modern genetics Bosnian Croats are more distinct from Bosniaks and Serbs that these two are from each other.
Here is the Skerlj study from 1935

Yes, but remember this likely changed in more than 100 years since the study was done. Slavonia is a region where you had one of the highest rates of people identifying as "Yugoslavs" meaning ethnically mixed marriages. These would later resegregate back into ethnic identities - some into one others into other - when Yugoslavia collapsed. This would have lightened Serbs and darkened Croats.

I don't have any screenshots for Austria's most populous region Lower Austria since that volume of the isn't available online, but luckily it's referenced in other studies:
Lower Austria:
Hair Color:
Red 1,37%
Blond 19,4%
L. Brown 23,5%
Brown 52,9%
Black 2,68%
Eye Color:
Blue 16%
Gray 26,2%
Gray-brown 26,4%
Brown 31,4%
Lower Austria seems to be darkest region of Austria. Least darks are found in Salzburg and Upper Austria, while most blonds in Carinthia.
