Khabib is really good , but I agree he has to have more fights before we can really say GOAT.
He has 27/27 wins in UFC but for example there are UFC guys with many more fights in UFC and more wins ... eg
Gegards Mousasi = Total 53 Fights /Wins 45.
Fedor Emelianko = Total 45 Fights / Wins 38.
So lets count Khabibs wins when he has 50 fights.
Khabib beat Connor fair and square but he didnt fight Connor at his peak imo, multi millionaire Connor with 2 years out of the Octagon was not the Best Connor we have seen, quite possibly Khabib beats Connor at his best anyway. The fact Connor was 2 years out of Octagon is only justification imo why we should see a rematch , otherwise not much reason as was total one sided beatdown.
Khabib vs Askren will be an interesting match up.
Ben Askren = Total 19 Fights /Wins 18/ 0 Losses.

For football, it's definitely Messi followed closely by CR7. Pele and other retired players are only rated so high because they have a cult status due to being retired legends.
https://www.dreamteamfc.com/c/news-g...d-player-time/
Ronaldinho (as well as Rivaldo and Kaka) isn't even better than Neymar but treated like a god simply because he has cult status (due to being a retired legend). A decade after Neymar is done with elite football, he'll be a god as well. Ronaldinho was notorious for not showing up for Brazil, but that's all forgotten now that he's retired (him winning the WC is a team effort before anyone brings that up). Neymar's record with Brazil is pretty insane on the other hand. Modern day athletes are faster, bigger, stronger, and more skilled due to having better training equipment, better training coaches, a better diet, a better routine, and more skilled coaches - basically just overall much much better access to facilities than someone born in 1940. This always seems to get ignored by the 20th century cultists. And 99% of the people that say Pele is the best have never even seen him play. It's many times also viewed as very disrespectful to say that a retired legend isn't as good as a currently active player since they gave a lot to the game. Relative to their time period, Pele may have been the best, but that's different than saying he was the GOAT.
This overrating of retired legends isn't only the case with football; but with other sports, music, painting, etc. Being a retired legend will always automatically make you better than someone currently active even if the person currently active is twice as skilled as you simply due to being born in an earlier time according to most people today. This is the main reason why comparing people of different generations doesn't work.

Basketball: Statistically, Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest basketball player of all time. It's insane how many records, titles, and 65+ point games that man had, including the only 100 point scoring game by one man in NBA history. I remember back in the '90s, Michael Jordan was almost as popular as Jesus. Now people are talking about LeBron like Michael Jordan never existed. Do people really suffer from amnesia that badly? Also, MJ has 6 rings, LeBron has 3.
Boxer: Tyson in his prime with Muhammad Ali as #2.
