Yes, it was. If you see scenes from São Paulo in the 80's and in 2020, its a very similar city.

No, I dont think its more white than Buenos Aires. But São Paulo certainly has many white people (majority of the city), São Paulo is whiter than New York or Los Angeles and in absolut numbers I guess its the city with more white people in the World. The city has many portugueses, italians, mineiros, northeasterns, spaniards, japaneses, lebaneses...
