In terms of the culture of 'designer babies', it's as if people are choosing a designer handbag or a designer car... or choosing a doll in a shop. Some people are so fussy that if their kids don't have certain cosmetic features and certain genes that will make them a musical genius, or a sports star, or have a high IQ, etc, their parents won't love them... even though the parents don't look like supermodels, or aren't talented, or aren't scientific geniuses. Children should be able to develop their own personality and hobbies and interests... they may not want to be a sports star or a musician ... or whatever their parents have planned for their life - as if children are objects.

A Chinese man sued his wife after he said his three kids with her were 'too ugly' - and he won in court. His wife had $100,000 of cosmetic surgery before they met. When their three children were born, her husband thought that the children must be from another man - as they didn't look like either parent. She then admitted to altering her natural features with surgery before they met as she felt insecure with her natural appearance. The man said that his children were 'too ugly', and so he divorced her... even though he was biologically proven to be the childrens father.

The man won $120,000 in court.

All three kids look similar to their mother in the pictures prior to her cosmetic surgery.

Yes, to continue my family blood line and have an heir to my family heirlooms and my collected knowledge and books. It sounds heartless, but I’d be a loving father, especially if I had a good wife
