I'm picking people from there with only Portuguese surnames. In the case of Minas Gerais almost everyone with only Portuguese surnames is colonial or from early 19th century migration (1800-1830).
As many people here are aware, Brazil high Euro input isn't only due to late 19th century and early 20th century immigration. In the colonial period Brazil already had lots of Europeans living there. I chose Minas Gerais because it's the region that received most Portuguese settlers during the colonial period. This region alone probably received more Europeans than all of Spanish colonies in America together.
I'm being very careful to select only people of full colonial background, that's why I'm using widely known people, so I can check better their ancestries (I was thinking about using nightclub pics before). They are footballers, actors, politicians, writers etc. Not all of them come from middle class or upper class background, some are working class as well.
