Parents punished me and my brother mostly verbally, and this acts much stronger than beating, if you know how to do it right.

Depending how hard you hit etc. her/him. If they think that you can hurt her/him ... yes ... they can take them away. First temporary and then permanently.
Child's well-being (as a weak small human ... can not protect herself/himself against adults) goes .... if needed .... before rights of adult people being parents.

I was trampled two times, one time by my older sister, another one by my mother...just 'cause I did something that brought negative attention to the family, that kind of stuff.

My father was so respectable that I almost never dared anything in his presence. To this day, I still fear to swear when he is around.

If one will need to ''fear'' his/hers parents (because of physical punishments)... I wonder how they behave at the time then their parents are old & weak? Given back what they faced as a kid?

Nah, my father never lifted a finger against me, but he had the kind of attitude that was highly intimidating.

No one dared to swear or say anything he deemed stupid, when in his vicinity.

Of course, now, I see him both as an entitled bastard and someone who is right about certain things.

My parents were not nice. Lets just say I am very disconnected and ignore them. When they call I am brief and say I have to go. I visit maybe once every two months briefly. I never had children and never will.

From 10 on, yes. And while the excuse was discipline, the reality was pure uncontrolled anger. It didn't correct anything nor make me a better person...

I relate to this although I am still fairly close to my mother. I understand the why and how today but it doesn't make anything "better". And I certainly didn't repeat the same upon my own children. Not even remotely.
