Ever been in Sweden? Or would you like to come? I'm moving there beginning of December.

My family goes there every year to visit our Swedish family, but I haven't gone yet. I'm planning on visiting them in a few months depending on my school schedule. I actually know quite a few Swedish-Americans who have moved there in the last few years.

I'm moving to southern Sweden (my grandparents lives there). So no parties (but I would not live like that anyway). I'm working there (one kind of internship and project study) .... I'll try to learn that accent/dialect too (as well as possible). So watch out all you Stockholmers etc. ... then I'll be next time there

Santa Lucia ... Swedish tradition (see the video) ... same tradition is alive in Finland (among of Finnish Swedes).

Something to remember. Yes. We also visited at school (first classes ... small pupils), two kinder gardens and old people's home. Especially the last one left me some memories ... how much they appreciated that visit ... and nope, I was not worried that my hair would burn (we used real candles just shortly).

I went to a julbord in Sweden last year where this was performed. I honestly didn't think it would be my thing at all, but I liked it so much I went to a separate Santa Lucia concert in Storkyrkan the following week.
