I feel like a bad person because I don't really care that much about this. The Uighurs are being repressed by the Han Chinese, no doubt. I don't agree with what's going on there and I think they should have their own country and separate themselves from China. But, at the same time, I don't think we should get involved.

I agree: I don't think that European countries should be involved either eventhough I know some Ughyurs that live here that told me some real horror stories. The CCP are scumbags and I hope they get dealt with in the future by the peoples of China themselves. Ceaucescu-style, please !

A good solution to the Chinese problem: China becomes a parliamentary Republic (China joins Taiwan - in other words) with free elections, a federal system and a strict adherence to the Three Principles of the People and the ROC pulls its hands from North Korea and withdraws from the South China Seas to the borders set out in international law. I remember that the Americans are working on a Pacific version of NATO: what if Japan and China try to set apart their differences and China should, perhaps, join that organisation through its Taiwanese membership (as Taiwan's official name is "the Republic of China" nothing would change).
As for the CCP: either ban the twats and set up a truth and reconciliation commission (or outright Nuremberg-style trials) or set up a T&R commission, purge them and allow them to run in a multiparty system.
