Iranians and Afghans are closer to Arabs than Turks are.
I find it hard to associate Pakistan with Arabs, but that’s mostly because their language sounds completely different from the guttural ones of the MENA region.

I'd say Turkey feels more "Arab" moreso than Iran, despite both nations bordering the Arab world, especially the eastern part. Strong Mediterranean influence, lots of palm trees, relatively flat, etc. Iran is quite mountainous and the atmosphere/attitude is a bit more aloof and sedated. Turkey also shares a lot of history and interaction with Europe, which can't be said of the Persian world.
