British conservative party are "conservative" only in the economic sense; they are economically hard right, socially far-left. "Liberal Conservatives" by the official definition.

Yes they legalised gay marriage; immigration has also increased under them, they support abortion, trans, the cutting of free speech aka "arresting people for so called hate speech", and are soft on serious crime. I can't think of a single thing they are conservative socially. They are just a fiscal conservative party and that's it. So our choice is between them, or labour, who are far left on social and economic views. Not much of a choice.
