Even though I am part Bavarian, Swiss, and Prussian I don't know much of the deep history. Does anyone recommend a documentary or book?

The English. Like their history, their heritage, how they managed to rule the world from such a small island and how they still remain relevant to the world.
People might say they ruled the world as part of Great Britain/UK but the truth is that they always were the dominant ethnic group in Britain, like 8 out of 10 Brits are English.
And before that, they conquered Wales and most of Ireland in the 12th and 13th centuries!
