Should the European Union be divided into two?

Personally I think so. A Northern European Union composed of the countries that are in the north of the Alps/Rhine river, and another one integrated by France and the Mediterranean countries. I believe that both political units would be more coherent and better prepared to compete with Asia and the United States.

In its present form, the differences in mentality between the Europeans of the north and those of the Southern Europe make it impossible for the European Union to be a world first power.

There should be 3 unions: Slavic union (composed of Slavic countries including Russia), Germano-Celtic union (composed of NW-European Germanic and Celtic countries) and Mediterranean union (composed of countries speaking Romance languages + maybe Greece but I am not sure about this one).

Give eastern europe back to russians in exchange for its support in middle east/asia. let southern europe decide if they want to stay part of west or follow an independant route. this is the best solution imo.

Regarding Southern Slavs they should be able to decide whether they want to join Northern Slavs or Mediterraneans or form an independent union.

No. Southwest Europe has more in common with Northwest than East Europe with Northwest.Culturally at least.

Idk for others but we will never join bankrupted and liberal Med Block. But we won't go in Pan-Slavic shit either, no Union with orthodox Slavs for us. Only thing I would support is enlarged Visegard group and that's it.
(V4 + Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, maybe Balts if they want to join also)
