I have one goal in life: the complete destruction of the EU. It's the same kind of prison of nations as the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Czechoslavia, Yugoslavia or the USSR. And I don't care whether that destruction is brought about by elections or the blaze of the gun: either way it has to go or it will kill us all.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

Good luck
So how else a fairly corrupted country can get out of its economic problems, where good deal of people feels betrayed by the system they foolishly died for just 3 decades ago? The only way I can see is some form of cohabitation be it economical, political or else.

Doesn't make sense to leave on Yugoslavia to get into another one.
How are your ports doing? And shipyards? Oh no right, that's reserved for Western Europe, you can have tourism and agriculture

What was the mistake there? They adopted EURO for economical reasons, so they can offer their products to other European markets more easily. Slovenian products such as Gorenje are definitively worse than some other products but they both come for the similar price. I don't know much about Italy but their industry seems to work.
