the people of Algeria are protesting against a possible reelection of president bouteflika "fifth term" (since is sick and could only walk with a wheelchair ?)

what's do you think about that could Algeria become a new Syria or Iraq ? could the protest escalate tho something more violent ? or it will all end up peacefully for the country ? and if bouteflika give up (no fifth term) wo could be next president/leader ?

I don't think many users here (besides French Maghrebis) and my boy Phenix know much about the internal politics of Algeria.

I can't add much myself but only hope he will die or step down soon enough so as to cut in to any possibility of a civil war.
