    Indeed. We Palestinians maybe more mixed than our northern cousins, but we're still Levantines, both culturally and genetically.

    They may end up like some of my French/Walloon ancestors: some may attend the Waalse kerk (where services are conducted in 18th century French) and then step out the door and speak the local dialect and march off to the pub like the locals. There may be a last name and that's that.
