No, he succeed because Russia as part of SSSR and as Serbian old ally was communist country in that time and was winning in that war.

Liberated Yugoslavia pretty much on his own (with logistical support ofc)

Avoided further bloodshed between South Slavs for 50 years

Industrialized a mostly unindustrialized country

Made Yugoslavia a well respected country

But did not plan his succession which led to 6 shit countries being made from a once great country.

Serbia was least pro-communistic in Yugoslavia, and most pro-monarhistic.
Serbian ally was Romanov fraction, not communists.
Partisans won thanks to idiot chetnicks who take occupator side.

Partisans won thanks to promise of social justice, and majority of people were poor and not satisfied with previous royal government.
