    I believe Vietnam has opened its markets since the 80s. They knew Soviet style communism wouldn't work for them
    Their main objective was to liberate and unify the whole Vietnam by exploiting the Soviet support. Some important socialist reformations were implemented (distribution of land, access to free healthcare and education, etc) but they would never see themselves becoming like North Koreans

    So, after being in Vietnam for some time now, we've learned quite a bit. Here are 10 things we were pretty surprised to learn about the country we are getting to know pretty well, Vietnam.

    No joke, Northern Vietnam has been relentlessly polluted and it makes me feel like I'm riding through Beijing!



    Wake up and smell the coffee.
